Earrings are one of the first types of jewelry and they have been worn by people for thousands of years. In the times of Ancient Persia male warriors wore earrings as a sign to people around that they were a warrior. In the last few centuries the number of men having ear piercing greatly reduced and it became custom for women to were earrings as a form of decoration. Multiple ear piercings become alot more common and mainstream around the 1970's and alot more Women began getting 2 or more piercings in each ear.
